Ingredients
- 1 pound of salmon
- ⅓ cup of bourbon
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- ¼ cup of maple syrup
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- 2 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1 tbsp of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp of salt
In a bowl, combine bourbon, olive oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Place the salmon on a cutting board and season generously with garlic, cayenne powder, and salt. Transfer the salmon to the bowl, ensuring it's well coated with the marinade.
Let it marinate for at least one hour, ideally for 24 hours for richer flavor.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
Remove the salmon from the oven and generously brush the glaze over the fish. Turn on the broiler and place the salmon back in the oven for 2 minutes, or until the glaze caramelizes slightly.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
